Smallsville Pavilion at the Oakland Animal Shelter, is for dogs under 20 pounds. They all hang out cage free, interacting and socializing with visitors. We still have a lot more decorating to do: furniture, wall paintings, etc., but the dogs are there, so please come and visit them at 1101 29th Ave in Oakland if you want to adopt a small size dog. We currently have dogs from 7 pounds to 20 pounds and they are changing constantly. As dogs get adopted we move more small dogs in. To adopt, your application must be approved and if you own your home, you must show proof of home ownership with tax bill. If you rent, you need landlord permission in lease agreement or written permission letter. Our goal is to decrease the total number of animals being euthanized in animal shelters each year by finding new, permanent homes for them. Our animals come from a variety of circumstances.
